I mentioned recently that I have been uploading and backing up over 10 years of personal digital files and I uncovered a TON of stuff that I had forgotten about. Now, I am pretty good at printing my photos as I go along and putting them into albums, but even I found quite alot that never made it to the lab, for some reason or another. So, I thought, why not share some on the blog! And Friday Favourites is back in action!
Besides, my kids are all teenagers now, so I rarely get the opportunity to photograph and share those photos with complete freedom any more…they are all too busy and too picky to give me the chance to do that…you parents of under 10 year olds…JUST.YOU.WAIT.
As a non-lover of winter in general, this weeks Friday favourites are a few beach images I came across. All from different summers, all perfect. I wish I was there, RIGHT now! It is my favourite place in the world…you know those surveys that are going around on facebook to figure out what diva you are, or what type of high school clique you should be in, or what hipster craft you should be doing? Well, the ones related to where you would live, what animal, what rock band, what sport, what god/goddess for me would be –
the beach (well, yeah)
dolphin (I know that is “ocean” and I could say seagull, but I hate those things, and who doesn’t love a dolphin)
the Beach Boys “All Summer Lon”…or Snoop Dogg and “Drop it like its hot”…I could go either way, really
beach volleyball or kite flying – its a toss up
PSAMATHE (goddess of sand beaches of course. Yes, I had to google it too, of course)
Okay, a few favourite beach visits of the past – can you feel the summer breeze?
Yeah, I MIGHT have a thing for sunsets. Also pina coladas and getting caught in the rain…well, not really the rain thing.
On to summer I say! Let’s go sun, sand, end of school, lazy days and hanging out with the kids (even though mine are now to old to want to hang out that often anymore, but a girl can dream). I have the sunscreen ready to go!
