This was a difficult week at the Tauro homestead. We had to say good-bye to our lovely dog. She was diagnosed with cancer last July, and the vet was sure she only had a short time left. Instead, she hung out with us for an extra 9 months, happy, normal, full of life (with a weirdly distended abdomen, which made us joke that 1. she must be pregnant and 2. she was clearly going to live forever). But as had to happen, she took a very quick turn for the worst and it was time to say good-bye. Never an easy thing to lose one of you fur babies, and she was an amazing dog. Goofy, cuddly, acted all tough and aggressive to protect her family, but was actually a marshmellow and scared of the sound of the wind (that was a weird one for sure).
She had the most expressive ears…you could always tell her mood by the direction they were pointing. But this was her “chillin'” ear position and it always cracked us up (I know this is a crappy shot with all the stuff there, but the EARS!!!!)
She loved stealing the toys from our other dog, but never ever played with them. The stealing and keeping was the only game (she couldn’t catch a ball to save her life – it would boing off her forehead every time!)
If there was any type of garden or yard work happening with the hose, she HAD to go inside, or no real work would get done. She was a bit obsessed with attacking the water spray!
We will miss you my crazy, silly, sweet girl…
